Environmental Research Center and Civil Defense Conduct Training Workshop on Evacuation, Fire Extinguisher Use, and Fire Response

The Environmental Research Center, in collaboration with the Civil Defense Division at the University of Technology, organized a training and awareness workshop titled “Evacuation Procedures, Use of Fire Extinguishers, and Fire Response”. The event was part of an initiative to enhance preventive awareness and promote a culture of public safety among university staff.

The workshop included both theoretical and practical components. A lecture was delivered by Assistant Director Safaa Sami Hameed and Assistant Engineer Othman Adel Hussein, focusing on appropriate actions during fire incidents and proper evacuation procedures.

Participants also included hands-on training in the use of various types of handheld fire extinguishers. In addition, a simulated fire evacuation drill was conducted to train attendees on quick response and the correct implementation of safety and evacuation protocols during emergencies.
