Biomedical Engineering Department Holds Workshop on Combating Administrative and Financial Corruption
The Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Technology organized a workshop entitled "Administrative and Financial Corruption: Its Problems and How to confront it." Presented by Dr. Ali Fadl Bayouwi. The lecture delved into the phenomenon of administrative and financial corruption, which has become a serious threat and is corroding the fabric of society. This corruption leads to paralysis in the processes of construction and economic development, resulting in the destruction of the economy and financial and administrative capabilities. Ultimately, it leaves the state unable to confront economic challenges and rebuild the necessary infrastructure for its growth.The lecturer addressed the root causes of corruption and explained its manifestations and reasons. Dr. Ali Fadl presented a set of recommendations and proposals that can directly contribute to addressing the phenomenon of corruption and combating it.For his part, the head of the department, Professor Dr. Wissam Kazim Al-Siraji, emphasized in his speech the importance of educational and social institutions playing a significant and decisive role in clarifying the dimensions of this phenomenon. He stressed the need to focus on the religious and moral aspects and their role in confronting corruption, especially in the workplace. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of continuing to hold such workshops to combat corruption.
