
A scientific visit for the students of Aircraft Systems Engineering to Al-Karama Military Industries Company
The Department of Aircraft Systems Engineering, in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology, took its third-year students on a scientific visit to Al-Karama Military Industries Company. The visit was supervised by the department head, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Hamid Rija, along with a group of teaching staff.
The department delegation was warmly received by the engineering, technical, and administrative staff of the company. They provided an introductory presentation about the factory in general and the aircraft manufacturing process in particular.
The company staff gave the students a detailed explanation of how the aircraft operates, how it takes off and lands, and the manufacturing stages within the factory. They also showcased the aircraft models they have produced.
During the tour of the factory, video clips were shown demonstrating the testing of the manufactured aircraft, including their takeoff, control, and landing.
The goal of the visit was to provide students with additional experience in the stages of manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles, the materials used in their construction, and the various methods employed to build the aircraft’s structure.
The department delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation to all the company staff for their warm reception and their efforts in delivering valuable theoretical and practical information to the students.
The scientific delegation consisted of the head of the Department of Aircraft Systems Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Hamid Rija, and faculty members Assistant Professor Dr. Walaa Mousa Hashim, Dr. Azra Sabeeh Hassan, Mr. Essam Kareem Fadhil, and Ms. Ola Abdel-Ilah Abd.
