The Technological University Secures First Place in the Iraqi University Ranking for 2024

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the results of the 2024 Iraqi University Ranking, which aims to enhance the educational environment and measure institutional and research performance indicators. The Technological University ranked first among public universities, surpassing other universities according to the criteria that included ten key areas. This achievement is a testament to the university’s academic and research excellence, demonstrating significant superiority in scientific research effectiveness, institutional accreditation standards, and other criteria covered by the ranking. The Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority evaluated 100 public and private institutions, compared to 95 institutions last year, based on 10 specific performance measurement areas, which included:

-Institutional accreditation standards: 20%

-Global rankings: 10%

-Scientific research effectiveness: 35%

-Educational laboratories: 5%

-Assessment of scientific and academic reality and compliance rules: 5%

-Faculty members: 4%

-Awards: 5%

-International diversity and cooperation: 10%

-Student sports club: 3%

-Occupational health and safety: 3%

*Meanwhile, 2,072 academic departments in 100 public and private universities and colleges were evaluated, compared to 1,875 departments in 95 universities last year, based on specific criteria for measuring departmental performance, including:

-Quality and program accreditation: 50%

-Faculty members: 25%

-Global rankings of academic disciplines: 25%
