
Computer Science Department Organizes Workshop Entitled “Principles of Official Correspondence”
Under the supervision of the Department Dean, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, the Department of Computer Science organized a workshop entitled “Principles of Official Correspondence,” presented by the Head of the Legal Division, Lecturer Amal Abdul-Jabbar Hassouni, on Tuesday, February 26, 2025, in the late Dr. Emad Kazem Hall, in the presence of the Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Jassim Hadi, and the Director of the Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations Division, Dr. Anmar Ali.
The workshop defined correspondences as documents that are directed to institutions or individuals, and they consist of a series of standards. It also defined the types of official letters, such as requests, letters of thanks, and complaints. They can be from a higher authority to a lower authority or vice versa, and it addressed the components of an official letter, including the title, which must be clear and attract attention. It also explained the steps of writing letters.
This workshop is important and reflects on the development of the administrative performance of employees in service to our dear country.
At the end of the workshop, the lecturer was presented with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of her efforts in giving this lecture.
