
The Department of Computer Science organizes a lecture on the principles of official correspondence
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Technology, under the supervision of the Department Head, Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, organized a lecture on the principles of official correspondence in the hall of the late Dr. Imad Kazem. The event was attended by the Scientific Assistant, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Jassim Hadi, and the Director of the Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations Department, Dr. Anmar Ali.
The lecture was introduced by the Director of the Legal Affairs Department, Lecturer Amal Abdul-Jabbar Hassouni, who defined official correspondence as documents directed to institutions or individuals, consisting of a series of standards. She also described the types of official letters, such as requests, thank-you letters, and complaints. These can be sent either from a higher authority to a lower one or vice versa. She discussed the components of an official letter, emphasizing that the title should be clear and attention-grabbing, and clarified the steps involved in writing such letters.
At the end of the lecture, the speaker was awarded a certificate of appreciation in recognition of her efforts in delivering the lecture.
