The Chemical Process Engineering Branch in the Department of Chemical Engineering Organizes a Three-Minute Graduation Project Competition

As part of the scientific activities of the Chemical Process Engineering Branch in the Department of Chemical Engineering, a competition for presenting graduation projects in three minutes was held for fourth-year students. The event took place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in the presence of the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Khaled Ajmi Sakar, and under the supervision of the Head of the Chemical Process Engineering Branch, Prof. Dr. Asawer Abdul Rasool, alongside a number of faculty members and students, who actively engaged in the event.

The competition was characterized by a competitive atmosphere, where students presented innovative and outstanding projects that reflected a high level of creativity in scientific research. After an intense academic competition among the students, the judging panel, consisting of distinguished professors, selected three projects to represent the branch in the next stage of the competition (department level). The judges included:

-Assistant Prof. Dr. Shorouq Taleb

-Assistant Prof. Dr. Abbas Jwad

-Dr. Haider Alaa

The following three students were selected to represent the branch:

  1. Mariam Mahmoud (First place)
  2. Ibrahim Diyaa (Second place)
  3. Noor Al-Zahraa Mustafa (Third place)
