Department of Civil Engineering Organizes Scientific Visit to the Iraqi Central Bank Building Site

As part of the scientific activities conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering, the Roads and Bridges Engineering Branch in the department organized a scientific visit to the Iraqi Central Bank building site for third-year students, accompanied by a number of the department’s professors, namely: Professor Dr. Wael Shawqi, Assistant Professor Dr. Makki Kamel Mohsen, Assistant Professor Dr. Khawla Karim Kawthar, Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Jawad Kadhim, Lecturer Dr. Maha Hatem Abboud, Assistant Lecturer Suzan Saeed, Assistant Lecturer Ali Mohsen Razuqi, Assistant Lecturer Almas Faraj, and Assistant Lecturer Narjis Sabih.

This visit aimed to familiarize students with the implementation methods of various work segments, deepen the applied and practical aspects, and develop a practical spirit to understand the information and knowledge that students receive theoretically at the university.

The professors and the project management provided a comprehensive explanation of the building’s construction stages and answered all the questions raised by the students, creating an interactive atmosphere that benefited the students with the information they received on site.

The visiting delegation from the Department of Civil Engineering extended their thanks to the project management for giving their students the opportunity to visit the project and learn about most of the implementation details.
