Department of Materials Engineering Hosts a Lecture about Addiction and Escapism

Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology hosted a lecture titled “Addiction and Escapism,” organized by the Human Rights Division/Office of Assistant President of Scientific Affairs.

The lecture was delivered by Lec. Huthaifa Mohsen Saeed, a lecturer in Chemical Engineering Department, and attended by a number of faculty members and students of the department.

• The lecture included a definition of addiction, its types, and its effects.
• Escapism and its relationship to addiction, and how to protect individuals from its effects.

The lecture concluded with granting the head of the department presenting the lecturer with a certificate of appreciation for his efforts.
