The Alumni Affairs, Qualification, and Employment Unit in the Architecture Engineering Department at the University of Technology held a lecture entitled “Mechanisms for Determining Architectural Work Fees in the Iraqi Market.”

The head of the unit, Lecturer Dr. Bilal Sameer, stated that the lecture, delivered by architect Ruwaida Basim, specifically targeted fifth-year students to build their personal finance management skills as part of the University of Technology’s professional development plan.

The lecture included a theoretical aspect that addressed issues such as how to determine architectural work fees, the influencing factors, client requirements, common methods of determining fees, and the most important rules and supporting advice for building and marketing the professional image of the architect.

The practical aspect of the lecture involved applying the theoretical knowledge of financial management to a range of architectural projects with different requirements and scales.
