On the occasion of the golden jubilee of the University of Technology the Sustainable Operations Student Team held a scientific exhibition on organic materials

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, and under the supervision of the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Khaled Ajami Sakr, the University of Technology’s celebrations of the golden jubilee of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the University of Technology and the Department of Chemical Engineering were launched.

Under the efforts and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Manal Afham Toma, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, the Sustainable Process Engineering student team held a scientific exhibition on “Organic Compounds in Foodstuffs.” The students presented the most important chemical substances that are essential in the composition of natural and agricultural foodstuffs. Professor Dr. Aswar Abdul Rasool, Head of the Chemical Process Engineering Department, stated that the exhibition aims to spread scientific knowledge about the chemical substances that are part of our daily lives.

Assistant Professor Dr. Manal Afham explained that this step enhances scientific and cultural awareness among students and the surrounding community, introducing them to the most important chemical formulas we interact with on a daily basis. Therefore, care must be taken to handle these materials safely and to preserve human health and a sustainable environment.
