Minister of Higher Education Honors the University of Technology and Its Researchers at the Al Ain Academic Researcher Award Ceremony

His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored the University of Technology and 16 of its faculty members at the fifth edition of the Al Ain University Academic Researcher Award ceremony, held at the Educational Complex at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research headquarters.

The ceremony witnessed a distinguished presence from the University of Technology, which received numerous awards. His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research honored the University of Technology with the Al Ain University Shield, which was received by the university’s president, Professor Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza. The Minister also honored the University of Technology researchers, who received (16) awards in the categories of Outstanding Winners and Top Universities in the Scopus database. In his speech during the special celebration, the Minister of Education emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is committed to this endeavor, which has prompted it to launch and sponsor numerous events and awards related to scientific research. He noted that the Ministry and its universities have achieved significant accomplishments in terms of influence, participation, and contribution to the field of scientific research within two tracks: advancing the global publishing of research and directly serving society and engaging with its issues and challenges.

The events included speeches by the President of Al-Ain University in Iraq, Dr. Haider Abdul-Amir Marhoon; the representative of the Elsevier Foundation in the Middle East, Dr. Diaa Madhat; and the representative of the award-winning researchers, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abdul-Dahd.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, concluded the celebration by honoring the distinguished Iraqi researchers and top researchers from Iraqi universities, as well as a number of university presidents. He also commended the efforts of those in charge of the fifth edition of the Al-Ain University Award, which represents an added opportunity to enrich knowledge, stimulate expertise, and achieve sustainable scientific innovation.

It is worth noting that the winning researchers from the University of Technology who were honored with the Al-Ain University Award in Iraq are Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Amir and Prof. Dr. Majed Sakhi, Prof. Dr. Ivan Tariq, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Mohammed, Prof. Dr. Talib Mohammed, Prof. Dr. Raed Abdul Wahab, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahid, Prof. Dr. Makram Abdul Muttalib, Prof. Dr. Adi Mohsen, Prof. Dr. Qusay Fadel, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Yousef, Prof. Dr. Adawiya Juma, Dr. Wissam Hamid, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Siham, Prof. Muqaddam Tariq, and Prof. Dr. Amjad Jalil.
