
Chemical Engineering Department organizes student competition as part of the University’s Golden Jubilee celebrations
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, and supervised by the Dean of the Chemical Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Khalid Ajmi Sakar, the Chemical Engineering Department held a scientific competition for postgraduate students on three-minute thesis presentation skills. The event was attended by the heads of branches and a number of faculty members, staff, and students of the department.
The competition was held with the participation of several postgraduate students. The winners were selected by a judging committee consisting of a group of distinguished professors: Prof. Dr. Zainab Yousef, Prof. Dr. Asawer Abdul Rasoul, Prof. Dr. Zaidoun Mohsen, Asst. Prof. Dr. May Ali, and Dr. Haider Al-Jaafari.
Three winners were chosen from the Master’s students: Raad Saad Sahib (first place), followed by Haider Lafteh (second place), and Duaa Ghanem (third place). Among the doctoral students, Youssef Saleh and Ahmed Jassim won to represent the department in the next stage of the competition at the university level.
The competition was characterized by an interactive atmosphere, where students presented distinguished research that reflected a high level of creativity and innovation in scientific research
