
College of Mechanical Engineering Distributes a Questionnaire to Students to Measure the Extent of Achieving Educational Objectives
As part of the efforts of the College of Mechanical Engineering – Automotive Engineering Branch to enhance the quality of education and meet the requirements of the National Program Accreditation Standards, an interactive meeting was held with fourth-year students in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, in Dr. Munir Al-Mudhaffar Hall.
The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Branch, Lecturer Dr. Sajida Faris Sabri, with the participation of the Head of the Quality Division in the College, Dr. Tariq Rahman Mahmoud, and the attendance of several faculty members of the branch, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Maysoun Abdul Amir and Dr. Kadhim Hassan Ali.
The meeting included the distribution of a comprehensive questionnaire aimed at measuring the extent to which the seven specific educational objectives of the branch have been achieved, and providing students with the opportunity to express their opinions freely and transparently. The questionnaire also included sections dedicated to their suggestions regarding the development of curricula and the enhancement of the infrastructure of the college and university facilities. During the meeting, the Head of the Quality Division in the College provided a detailed explanation to the students about the learning outcomes and educational objectives adopted in the Automotive Engineering Branch, emphasizing the importance of students’ awareness of these pillars due to their pivotal role in their academic and professional development.
The meeting witnessed positive interaction from the students, who showed great interest in actively participating in improving the learning environment, reflecting their awareness of the importance of their role in supporting the academic development process. This meeting is considered an important step within the college’s continuous endeavours to achieve quality assurance and promote continuous improvement in the performance of the branch and the college, thereby contributing to the achievement of the academic program’s objectives and the advancement of its outcome.
