College of Civil Engineering Organizes an Educational Lecture Entitled “Ethics and the Skill of Engineering Leadership”

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ali Majeed Khudhair, and under the supervision of the Head of the Structural Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Mohammed Jaafar,

An educational lecture entitled “Ethics and the Skill of Engineering Leadership” was organized in the Martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis Hall at the college, as one of the extracurricular activities dedicated to fourth-year students in the morning and evening studies programs in the Structural Engineering Department.

The lecture, delivered by Dr. Ahmed Wadoud Rifaat Al-Zand from Al-Turath University, in cooperation with Assistant Professor Dr. Salam Jassim Helou and Engineer Firas Jawad, aimed to enhance ethical concepts and develop leadership skills among students in the engineering professional environment. This contributes to preparing them to assume future responsibilities within work teams and engineering projects.

The lecturers addressed the importance of professional ethics in promoting the work environment and the role of leadership in decision-making and building effective teams.

The session was characterized by an interactive style and open discussions between the lecturers and students, which contributed to creating a stimulating learning environment that added an important practical dimension to the students’ academic path.
