College of Computer Engineering holds a lecture on the role of artificial intelligence in managing energy consumption

The College of Computer Engineering at the University of Technology held a scientific lecture entitled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Managing Energy Consumption and the Gradual Transition to Renewable Energy.” The lecture was delivered by Dr. Saja Diaa Khedr, and attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and students in the college’s conference hall.

The lecture covered several topics, most notably modern applications of artificial intelligence in the energy sector, mechanisms for improving energy efficiency using machine learning techniques, and the role of big data in supporting plans to transition to renewable energy sources.

The lecture presented a number of applied studies and projects that have successfully employed artificial intelligence to achieve sustainability goals in the energy sector.

The lecture witnessed significant interaction from the audience, as participants presented a number of questions and contributions that enriched the discussion. The lecture focused on the prospects for leveraging artificial intelligence to support sustainable development plans, especially in light of the environmental and economic challenges facing the world.

This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities the college is keen to organize, with the aim of enhancing students’ applied knowledge and broadening their horizons in the fields of modern technology, in line with the university’s aspirations to support scientific research and keep pace with global developments.
