
President of the University of Technology Honours Distinguished Retired Staff Members
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the University of Technology, the University President, Professor Dr. Muhsin Nouri Hamza, honoured a number of the university’s retired staff members with the University Shield in his office on Monday, April 28, 2025. This recognition comes after a distinguished administrative, academic, and scientific career dedicated to serving this great institution.
The honouring ceremony was attended by the University President’s Assistants for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Khawla Salah Khashad, and for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Farhad Mohammed Othman, as well as the Director of the Studies and Planning Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Muayyad.
The University President honoured Professor Dr. Hilal Hadi Saleh from the College of Computer Science, Dr. Sufana Mazhar Raafat from the College of Control and Systems Engineering, Ms. Shatha Adel Istifan from the Postgraduate Studies Department, and Ms. Inaam Hussein Ahmed from the Studies and Planning Department for their outstanding performance throughout their administrative, scientific, and academic service in the university’s colleges and departments. This gesture reflects the university’s belief in the importance of honouring its professors and staff members upon their retirement after reaching the legal age
