College of Production Engineering Organizes a Scientific Visit to the Oil Research and Development Center

As part of enhancing academic and research partnerships between the College of Production Engineering and Metallurgy and various research centers, the college organized a scientific visit to the Oil Research and Development Center.

The scientific delegation, headed by Prof. Dr. Sami Ibrahim Al-Rubaie, included several lecturers and group of junior students from College of Production Engineering and Metallurgy. The delegation was received by Engineer Ali Jassim Hamoud, the Director of Oil Research and Development Center.

The visit included a field tour of the laboratories of the College of Environmental and Corrosion Research at the center, where the delegation was briefed on the latest tests and services provided by the center for the oil and related industries. Researchers from the center provided detailed explanations of the work mechanisms and ways to support university students in facing practical challenges. The two parties discussed prospects for joint cooperation through scientific and practical research to address the challenges facing the oil industry in Iraq, emphasizing that these efforts will contribute to developing national competencies and driving the Iraqi oil sector forward.
