College of Biomedical Engineering Organizes Workshop and Honors Elite Faculty Members

The College of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Technology organized a workshop that featured two lectures. The first lecture, titled “Use of Mathematical Algorithms in Artificial Intelligence,” was delivered by Dr. Hussein Jamil Mutashar, the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the College. He discussed the modern applications of algorithms in the development of intelligent systems and their pivotal role in transforming digital processing into practical solutions across various fields, including medicine, engineering, and communications.

The second lecture, titled “Biomedical Engineering – Reality, Challenges, and Future Prospects,” was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Mahmoud Ali, Head of the Mechanical Department. He focused on the current state of the field both locally and globally, highlighting the challenges facing this vital sector and exploring its promising future in light of the ongoing digital and technological revolution.

At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Hussein Bakhi, Dean of the College, delivered a speech expressing his pride in the exceptional efforts made throughout the week, especially by the organizing and scientific committees behind the Fourth Student Projects Festival, celebrating the golden jubilee of the University of Technology. He emphasized that these accomplishments are the result of academic collaboration and the innovative spirit of the College’s staff.
