A female student from the University of Technology wins second place in the Iraqi Universities Athletics Championship

University of Technology won second place in the Iraqi Universities Athletics Championship for female students, which concluded on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences stadium at the University of Baghdad.

The male and female students’ championship was organized by the Student Activities Department of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and hosted by a number of universities. 50 public and private universities from various Iraqi governorates participated.

The university’s runner-up achieved by student Rahma Fazaa in the 100m hurdles event for female students.

The championship represents the finale of the department’s activities for the current academic year 2024-2025.
