Architecture Students Present Final Design for Residential Housing Project

Fourth-year students from the Department of Urban Design in the College of Architectural Engineering have presented their final design project for the Residential Housing Module within the Architectural and Urban Design course. The project aimed to teach students how to design housing developments that meet national housing standards through a contemporary academic vision.

The project featured the design of two residential neighborhoods: Horizontal housing units, and Vertical housing units,
Each accompanied by full social services, including a kindergarten, nursery, elementary school, mosque, and various service buildings.

The project outcomes focused on enhancing students’ comprehensive understanding of residential environments, as well as the public and private spatial relationships required in both horizontal and vertical housing models.

The presentation was attended by Dr. Lina Ghanem Yaqoub, Head of the Urban Design Department.
