A scientific delegation from the College of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology, headed by the Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Khaled Ajami Sakr, visited the holy shrines of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and al-Abbas (peace be upon him(.
This visit stems from the University of Technology’s role in serving the community and within the framework of scientific cooperation and enhancing community and knowledge communication.
The visit included a scientific meeting between the college delegation and the representative of the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of al-Abbas (peace be upon him), Prf. Dr. Safaa al-Moussawi, in the presence of Dr. Muhannad al-Sharoufi, Scientific Advisor to the Holy Shrine of al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
During the meeting, the Dean of the College emphasized the importance of this visit in strengthening scientific cooperation between academic and religious institutions, praising the significant role played by the holy shrines in serving the community and promoting human and scientific values.
The visit included a tour of holy shrines, where the delegation was briefed on the construction and service projects implemented by the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine to serve the community through the construction of several production plants that provide services to Iraqi citizens and to Iraqi guest’s visitor. The tour also included a visit to the al-Kafeel Exhibition, which includes a historical and cultural heritage of valuable exhibits representing diverse historical and cultural eras.
At the conclusion of the scientific tour, the delegation expressed their gratitude to the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine for the warm welcome, generous hospitality, and the significant role the Holy Shrine plays in serving the community.
