Architectural Engineering Department students visit IraqI Central Bank site Tower project

The students of the Architectural Engineering Department at the University of Technology, accompanied by a number of the department’s lecturers, visited the site of the Central Bank of Iraq Tower project – designed by the world-renowned Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid.

 

This field visit came to consolidate the principle of cooperation between Iraqi universities and government institutions and to benefit from successful experiences and expertise to train students and integrate them into the labor market, in addition to reviewing the latest developments in the work on the tower and the details of the architectural and structural design and modern implementation methods on the site, and visiting the floors of the building with the site’s guides and engineers and a staff from the implementing company.

For their part, the lecturers appreciated the efforts made by the Presidency of the University of Technology to provide support and follow up on the students’ arrival to the site and their safe return and to the Presidency of the Architectural Engineering Department and its beloved students, thanking the Governor of the Central Bank for opening the way for engineers and students to view the work of this unique architectural edifice.
