
Female lecturers from the Environmental Research Center participate in a training course at the University of Babylon
Several lecturers and members of the Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology (Dr. Lec. Zahraa Zahraw Farhan, Assist. Lec. Israa Radhi Abbas, and Assistant Chief of Physics Basaad Hadi Jazaa), participated in the training course: “Calibration of the Sodium Iodide Device”, that held at the University of Babylon – College of Science – Department of Physics. The course included training the participants on calibrating and using the thallium-activated sodium iodide detector system NaI (TI) and installing and using the MAESTRO program for the device above. The training included methods of dealing with radioactive samples, analyzing them, and calculating natural radioactivity levels.
