Chemical Engineering Collage Organizes Awareness Lecture

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsin Nouri Hamza, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering, Professor Dr. Khalid Ajmi Sukkar,

The College of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology hosted the Human Rights Division, affiliated with the office of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, to deliver an awareness lecture entitled “(The Crime of Assaulting an Employee in the Iraqi Disciplinary Law)” on Monday, May 19, 2025.

The lecture was presented by Lecturer Dr. Faez Wahib Yaqoub. During the lecture, Dr. Yaqoub presented a detailed overview of the legal articles included in the Iraqi Penal Code that apply in the event of an assault on an employee assigned to a public service. These include penalties ranging from imprisonment to fines for anyone who insults or threatens an employee or any person assigned to a public service, a council, or an official body while performing their duties or because of them.

At the conclusion of the lecture, the Dean of the College presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of his role in delivering the lecture.
