Chemical Engineering Students Take Joint Exams with Private Universities and Colleges twinning with the Department

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, the work of the supervisory and follow-up committees for the joint exams between the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology and a number of colleges with similar specializations began on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Prof. Dr. Khaled Ajami Sakr, the Head of Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, stated that the supervisory and monitoring committees for the joint exams have begun their duties at Al-Farabi, Al-Turath, Al-Mustaqbal, and Al-Kut Universities.

He added that the joint exams were conducted under the supervision of specialized scientific committees of Lecturers from Chemical Engineering Department, who were dispatched to supervise the exams in the field at the joint examination sites of the aforementioned colleges and universities.

He explained that the formation of joint examination committees, as well as supervision and follow-up, comes in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the aim of strengthening academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and unifying educational standards. This will contribute to the development of the educational process, achieve scientific integration between public and private universities, and achieve the desired integrity.

It is worth noting that the joint examinations come within the framework of activating the memoranda of understanding signed between the two parties, based on the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
