College of Civil Engineering Organizes Ceremony to Honour Pioneer Professors

The College of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology organized a ceremony to honour pioneering faculty members and those distinguished in scientific research and patents.

The ceremony began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha for the souls of Iraq’s martyrs and the playing of the national anthem. Subsequently, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Majeed Khudhair, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees, expressed his gratitude to the faculty members, and commended their distinguished efforts throughout their service. He also acknowledged their diligent contributions alongside their colleagues in serving the college and achieving successes that have had a positive impact on graduate students. The honoring ceremony was a gesture of loyalty, recognition, and appreciation for their dedicated efforts.

During the ceremony, Professor Dr. Hassan Hamoudi Jouni, the former Dean of the College, was honoured with a shield in recognition and appreciation for the years he served as the head of the college. Distinguished faculty members in terms of scientific achievement and research publication were also honoured.
