College of Civil Engineering Organizes Volunteer Visit to Divine Care Home for the Elderly

The Volunteer Work Committee at the College of Civil Engineering, in collaboration with the Student Activities Department at the University of Technology, organized a volunteer visit to the Divine Care Home for the Elderly in Karrada. This initiative aimed to strengthen social responsibility among staff and students while fostering human connection and compassion toward various segments of society.

The visit included the participation of the head and members of the college’s Volunteer Work Committee, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Ameen Thanoon Ahmed, Director of the Student Activities Department, as well as several faculty and department staff members, accompanied by a group of university students.

The visit featured various activities, including musical performances and traditional songs by the students to bring joy and warmth to the residents. Friendly conversations were shared, and small symbolic gifts were distributed in an atmosphere filled with love, respect, and mutual appreciation.

The home’s administration expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for this thoughtful and heartfelt initiative.
