
College of Mechanical Engineering Organizes Visit to Lou’louat Al-Bukhaite Changan Automotive Company
In line with the College of Mechanical Engineering’s commitment to linking academic curricula with practical reality, and the endeavor of the Automotive and Sustainable Transportation Engineering Department to develop the skills of its students and qualify them for the job market, the department organized a scientific visit to Lou’louat Al-Bukhaite Changan Automotive Company, which included students from the first and second stages.
The delegation was headed by the Head of the Automotive and Sustainable Transportation Engineering Department, Lecturer Dr. Sajida Sabri Faris, and accompanied by: Assistant Professor Dr. Maysoun Abdul Amir, Lecturer Dr. Tariq Rahman Mahmoud, Assistant Lecturer Lamyaa Mahdi Asaad, Lecturer Dr. Aqeel Zaki Mahdi, Assisstant Lecturers Hind Hilal Kamel, Houraa Sadiq Mohammed, and Ikhlas Mustafa Mohammed.
The visit included a comprehensive field tour of the company’s facilities, during which students were briefed on the latest technologies in car manufacturing and assembly, in addition to learning about production lines, inspection principles, and quality assurance. This contributed to linking the academic aspect with modern industrial applications.
The Automotive and Sustainable Transportation Engineering Department is keen to continue implementing similar training programs and scientific visits, with the aim of developing students’ applied skills and expanding their knowledge of the latest technological trends in the automotive industry. The college also affirms its continuous commitment to graduating engineers who possess the scientific and professional competence capable of keeping pace with the requirements of industrial development locally and globally.
