
College of Telecommunications Engineering Organizes Course on Developing Microsoft Software and Electronic Archiving Skills
The College of Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Technology, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Afaneen Anwar Abboud, organized a training course for its staff on “Developing Skills in Using Microsoft Office Software and Electronic Archiving.” The course was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Amna Ali Salman, Assistant Lecturer Russul Musaddiq Abdul-Zahra, and Assistant Lecturer Nisreen Najm Abdul-Wahid.
The course included training employees on the basics of using computers and how to accomplish office tasks using Microsoft Office software. The course aimed to introduce participants to the electronic archiving system, which is a computer-based system designed to transition from traditional archiving methods to electronic archiving. It also emphasized the positive impact of electronic archiving on work efficiency in terms of time, effort, and quality.
Various aspects of electronic archiving were discussed, clarifying its fundamentals, dimensions, benefits, requirements, and strategies. The concept and types of electronic archiving operations were also covered.
This course aligns with the objectives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aim towards digital transformation and the automation and archiving of office work.
