
Computer Engineering Department Participates in Afforestation Day Activities to Support the Environment
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, and the supervision of the Dean of the Computer Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan, and in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Farhad Muhammad Othman, the Administrative Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Musa Dinar, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Computer Engineering Department participated in the activities of Afforestation Day in cooperation with the Green Team.
During the event, trees were planted and green spaces were cared for within and around the department, in the context of promoting environmental awareness and social responsibility.
Participants emphasized the importance of afforestation in improving air quality, enhancing environmental balance, and combating desertification.
This initiative comes within the department’s continuous efforts to cultivate a culture of sustainability and protect the environment, and contributes to supporting the university administration’s efforts for these environmental initiatives.
The attendees stressed the need to continue these efforts to increase green spaces within and outside educational institutions, contributing to building a healthy and sustainable environment for future generations.
