Delegation from Al-Kittab University to the Unmanned Aerial Systems Branch

A delegation from Al-Kittab University was welcomed by the Unmanned Aerial Systems Branch of the Electromechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology.

This visit comes within the framework of joint cooperation and twinning between the University Technology, the Electromechanical Engineering Department’s-Unmanned Aerial Systems Branch, and Al-Kittab University’s College of Engineering.

Dr. Ahmed Hamid Rajha, Head of the Unmanned Aerial Systems Branch, met with the delegation, which included Dr. Salem Yahya Qassim, the Scientific Assistant to the College of Engineering, Dr. Adel Muhammad Rahim, Head of the Surveying Engineering Department, and Dr. Hendrin Ali Saber, the Coordinator of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Engineering Department. During the meeting, a detailed explanation was provided about the teaching methods followed in the branch, how practical experiments are conducted, and the branch’s expertise, capabilities, youth energies, and the innovations achieved in this specialization.

A workshop was held in Al-Kindi Hall to introduce the scientific branches included in the Electromechanical Engineering Department and the mechanism of applying the Bologna Process in the educational curricula for the first and second stages. It was agreed to hold another workshop at Al-Kittab University in the coming days.

Dr. Mazen Abdul-Aali Hamza, Coordinator of the Unmanned Aerial Systems Branch, Dr. Sundus Samir Juma, the Head of Cultural Relations in the college, Asst.lect. Alaa Abdul-Ilah Abdul, and Senior Engineer Haider Hussein Alwan from the Dean’s Office attended the workshop.

Afterwards, the delegation was taken on a tour of the specialized laboratories in the college for the first and second stages to introduce the equipment available and the method of conducting laboratory experiments. Dr. Jaafar Muhammad Dif, Director of Laboratories, and Asst.lect. Hussein Ali Hadi, Head of Laboratories, accompanied the delegation on this tour.

For his part, the delegation expressed its desire to cooperate with the branch and benefit from its expertise to develop and expand this important scientific branch. They also expressed their admiration for the laboratory system and the equipment it contains.
