
Department of Chemical Engineering organizes a lecture on human rights violations by ISIS terrorist organizations
Under the patronage of the President of University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, and the supervision of the Head of Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Khaled Ajami Sakr, the Department organized a scientific lecture entitled “Human Rights Violations under ISIS Rule: An Analytical Study.”
The lecture was delivered by the Director of Legal Unit, ASST. lec. Huthaifa Mohsen Saeed, who gave a detailed presentation on the types of human rights violations and the most prominent human rights violations in the areas and cities under the control of the terrorist organization ISIS. He also highlighted the most heinous crimes committed by the terrorist organization against human rights, such as murder, genocide, forced recruitment into the ranks of terrorist organizations, forced displacement, confiscation of public and private property, and ethnic and religious cleansing operations against religious minorities, describing them as spoils of war. The lecture also drew criticism and condemnation from numerous human rights, political, and religious organizations, as well as the United Nations Human Rights Committee.
The lecturer was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the department head in recognition of his efforts in delivering the lecture.
