Department of Electromechanical Engineering Organizes a Workshop on Entrepreneurship in the Field of Renewable Energy

Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology organized a workshop on “Entrepreneurship in the Field of Renewable Energy,” presented by Lec. Dr.  Lujain Sadiq Senior students. The workshop covered the basics of entrepreneurship and the importance of innovation in the renewable energy sector, as well as how to chart a roadmap for success by defining the idea, conducting a feasibility study, and identifying target customers.

Successful examples of entrepreneurial projects and proposed solutions to support and develop the renewable energy sector in Iraq were reviewed.

The workshop concluded with an introduction to the concept of technology incubators, their objectives, and the services they provide to support emerging projects. Students were encouraged to submit innovative ideas to the incubator that would contribute to the development of the renewable energy sector.
