Communications Engineering Department Participates in DRT Device Development Workshop

The Communications Engineering Department at the University of Technology participated in a workshop on the “Repair and Development of the DRT Reconnaissance and Intercept Device” organized by the Technical Equipment Branch at the Ministry of Defense. The workshop lasted three days and was attended by Assistant Professors Dr. Ali Awda, Dr. Qusay Salem, Dr. Hussam Hussein, and Dr. Haider Abdul-Ilah representing the university, along with a number of military officers and engineers, as well as a group of academics and experts from Al-Nahrain University and representatives of the Military Industrialization Board.

The workshop concluded with a ceremony to honor the participants who contributed innovative technical solutions to improve the system’s performance and develop its programs. The ceremony was attended by the Branch Manager, Major General Engineer Riyadh Hamid Mahmoud, who expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all participants for their effective efforts in enhancing electronic warfare capabilities. Certificates of appreciation were also distributed to all attendees in recognition of their valuable contributions. The importance of continuing work to develop the remaining components of the branch in line with modern technological developments was emphasized.
