Electrical Engineering Department Holds a Workshop on the Importance of Summer Training

The Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Technology held a workshop entitled “The Importance of Summer Training.” The workshop was attended by Administrative Deputy Prof. Dr. Kanaan Ali Jalal, , and Dr. Louay Ghali Ibrahim, the Head of Summer Training Unit, along with junior students from Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering branches.

The importance of summer training was highlighted as an essential part of graduation requirements, and students must pass the course. Four-week training period provides students with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and practical skills, as well as integration tutorial with practical realities. This, in turn, helps students accept and adapt to the nature of their work, develop their communication skills with others, and enhance their experience, skills, and abilities. This enhances students’ individual learning skills and provides opportunities for interaction and collaboration with experienced and specialized trainers on the job site.

It provides students with a high level of positive attitudes and satisfaction with their profession. It helps them understand the needs and characteristics of the environment in which they work and provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience that enhances their employment opportunities after graduation.
