Electromechanics Engineering Department and Cihan University Discussed Cooperation in Cybersecurity Field

The Head of the Electromechanics Engineering Department at the University of Technology, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ghassan Abdul Hussein Bilal, discussed cooperation in the field of cybersecurity with the President of Cihan University in Duhok Governorate, Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdul Mohsen Asaad.

During the meeting, visions were discussed and exchanged, and bilateral cooperation in the field of cybersecurity was explored, along with ways to support and develop joint work between the Mechatronics Engineering Department and Cihan University. In addition to discussing the scientific twinning between the two universities.

Dr.Bilal emphasized that “the cybersecurity training camp is an important step towards strengthening cooperation between Iraqi universities, with the aim of enhancing the security of institutions and citizens, protecting their privacy, and preventing any potential violations.”

He pointed out the importance of this matter at the global level, in light of the development of cyberspace and the beginning of its widespread use.
