Faculty Member from Civil Engineering Participates in Master’s Thesis Discussion Committee at University of Babylon

Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Adel Abdul Hameed from the College of Civil Engineering participated in the discussion committee for the MSC candidate, Zain Al-Abidin Mahdi Kadhim, in the field of Civil Engineering, presenting his thesis entitled “(Strengthening and Repair of One-Way Reinforced Concrete Slabs with Openings Using Different Techniques).”

The study aimed to investigate the effect of these openings and the effectiveness of various strengthening and repair techniques, such as externally applied carbon fiber strips and near-surface mounted carbon fiber rods, in addition to ultra-high-performance concrete panels applied to the tension face on each side of the opening.
