
Lecturers and Students of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering Share a Ramadan Iftar banquet with Orphans
A volunteer team from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology organized an Iftar banquet in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, specifically dedicated to orphans at the Al-Taawun Charity Association. The event aimed to provide a sense of warmth, compassion, and solidarity, breaking the barriers of marginalization for this group and promoting human values such as community support, empathy, and mutual care.
The iftar meal was attended by the University’s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Farhad Muhammad Osman, the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ghassan Abdul-Hussein Bilal, the head of the volunteer team, Asst. Prof. Dr. Israa Saad, faculty member Asst. Prof. Dr. Sundus Samir Jumaa, Senior Engineer Haidar Hussein Alwan, and a number of students.
This initiative aims to strengthen the connection with orphaned children, reflecting the ethics of Iraqi society. It also aligns with the department’s goal to deepen communication and cooperation with all segments of society while embodying the concepts of goodness and charity during this blessed month.
The management of the charity association expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the Mechatronics Engineering Department’s initiative, which continues to care for this group every year during the holy month.
