
Ministerial Committee Visits College of Communications Engineering to Establish Doctoral Studies
Continuing its well-considered strategic plans to reach the highest ranks, the Deanship of the College of Communications Engineering received the ministerial committee assigned by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to review the preparations for establishing doctoral studies in the Department of Optical Communications Systems Engineering.
The committee was received by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Afanin Anwar Abboud, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, Professor Dr. Ali Jabbar Salem, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussam Hussein Ali, and the heads of departments.
The committee conducted a comprehensive evaluation of all the necessary criteria and conditions for opening postgraduate studies at the college. The most important of these included the availability of teaching staff and the necessary infrastructure, represented by classrooms, laboratories dedicated to doctoral students, and the physical and digital library, to assess their readiness to receive students and researchers.
The committee praised the efforts made and the preparations for establishing doctoral studies in the specialization of Optical Communications Systems Engineering at the college, and expressed its pleasure at the noticeable advancement of the scientific reality at our university.
