
Ministerial Committee Visits College of Communications Engineering to Monitor the Application of National Standards for Laboratory Quality
As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s endeavour to improve the quality of educational laboratories, ensure their commitment to academic accreditation standards, and guarantee a safe and stimulating learning environment, a specialized ministerial committee visited the College of Communications Engineering at the University of Technology. The purpose of the visit was to assess the current state of its educational laboratories and evaluate safety and security requirements.
During their tour, the committee was accompanied by Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Jabbar Salem, Head of the Wireless Communications Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Mari, Head of the Optical Communications Engineering Department, Assistant Prof. Dr. Mustafa Dhia Hasib, Head of the Laboratories Unit, Assistant Prof. Dr. Nahad Mohammed Amin, and Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Unit, Lect. Dr. Mustafa Ghanim.
The visit included a field inspection of the laboratories and available equipment, the mechanisms for applying safety procedures, and a review of the adopted plans for improving the quality of educational services provided to students.
The ministerial committee expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by the college administration and technical staff in developing the laboratory infrastructure. They emphasized the importance of continuously updating equipment and technologies to keep pace with the requirements of academic accreditation and quality assurance.
