Ministry of Higher Education’s Doctoral Program Establishment Committee Visits the College of Communications Engineering

In continuation of its well-thought-out strategic plans to achieve the highest levels, the Deanship of the College of Communications Engineering received the ministerial committee assigned by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to review the preparations for the establishment of doctoral programs in the Department of Optical Communications Systems Engineering.

They were received by the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Afanin Anwar Abboud; the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Scientific Studies, Professor Dr. Ali Jabbar Salem; the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussam Hussein Ali; and the heads of departments.

The committee conducted a comprehensive evaluation of all the criteria and conditions necessary for opening high studies at the college, most notably the availability of teaching staff and the necessary infrastructure, including classrooms and laboratories designated for doctoral students, as well as a paper and digital library, to determine its readiness to receive students and researchers.

The committee commended the efforts and preparations made to establish a doctoral program in optical communications systems engineering at the college and expressed its pleasure at the remarkable advancement of our university’s academic standing
