On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the University of Technology Computer Science Department organizes a lecture on ethics of artificial intelligence

Under the supervision and attendance of the Head of Computer Science Department, Prof. Dr. Alaa Kadhim Farhan, and on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the 50th anniversary of University of Technology founding, Computer Science Department organized a lecture on ethics of artificial intelligence on Monday, April 14, 2025, in the late Dr. Imad Kazim Hall. The workshop was delivered by the Head of Artificial Intelligence Branch, Dr. Dina Kahdim Mohsen.

The lecturer defined artificial intelligence as not a single technology, but rather several technologies that can be combined to perform various tasks. It also emphasized that smart applications are systems that provide rapid mobility. It also addressed the ethics of artificial intelligence, such as justice, equality, transparency, privacy, data protection, and accountability, and emphasized that global companies are obligated to adhere to these principles and these ethics face significant challenges.

Finally, artificial intelligence represents a revolution that opens new horizons for improving our daily lives in all areas. However, its success depends on its wise and responsible use to ensure justice for all.

In conclusion, the lecturer was awarded a certificate of appreciation in recognition of her efforts in delivering this workshop.
