Opening of the University of Technology Football Championship for Students

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Farhad Mohammed Othman, opened the University Football Championship for students in the engineering and scientific departments for the academic year 2024-2025 at the university stadium, which is organized by the Student Activities Department in the presence of a number of department heads, faculty members and university students.

The opening included a review of the teams of the departments participating in the championship with the recitation of the sports oath, and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs and for the soul of the champion student Ibrahim Mohammed, one of the champions of the University of Technology in tennis and badminton.

The opening of the University Football Championship witnessed the victory of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering over the Electromechanical Engineering team by an excellent goal.

On the sidelines of the championship, the victory achieved by the champions of the University of Technology in their participation in the Iraqi Universities Chess and Swimming Championship was dedicated to the President of the University.
