Petroleum and Gas Engineering Department Organizes Training Lecture to Choose Appropriate Scientific Journal

As part of the series of training courses organized by the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering at the University of Technology, the department organized a lecture titled “Choosing the Appropriate Scientific Journal (Reliability of Scientific Journals),” as part of the “Fundamentals of Scientific Publishing: From Research Preparation to Publication in Scientific Journals” course.

The lecture, presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Maysaa Ali Abd Aoun, addressed the basic criteria for choosing the appropriate scientific journal for publishing research, with a focus on academic accreditation and international classifications of scientific journals.

The lecture reviewed mechanisms for verifying the credibility of journals and the importance of publishing in journals with high scientific impact to ensure the research reaches the widest possible audience of researchers and specialists.

These lectures are part of the efforts of the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering to enhance the capabilities of researchers and faculty members in the field of scientific publishing, contributing to raising the level of academic research within the university.
