President of the University of Technology Participates in Meeting with Sharif University Delegation at the Scientific Research Authority to Explore Academic and Scientific Cooperation

The President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsen Nouri Hamza, accompanied by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, took part in a meeting held by the Scientific Research Authority. The meeting included a delegation from Iran’s Sharif University of Technology on an official visit aimed at strengthening academic cooperation and developing scientific and research partnerships between Iraqi universities and their regional and international counterparts.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Scientific Research Authority, Professor Dr. Shafiq Shakir Al-Mawla, the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, the Assistant President of the University of Baghdad for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, along with several college deans. Discussions focused on opportunities to launch joint research projects, exchange faculty and students, and establish specialized scientific centers in fields such as energy, technology, and artificial intelligence.

Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing scientific and technological communication between Iraqi and Iranian universities, supporting the strategic directions of higher education in Iraq, particularly in applied research and industrial innovation.

This initiative contributes to achieving two Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
