President of University of Technology Receives President of the Military Studies University

A delegation from the Military Studies University, led by its President, Air Force Commander Dr. Aqil Mustafa Mahdi, visited the University of Technology on Monday, October 7, 2024.

The delegation was received by the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghabban, in his office. The visit was also attended by the Vice-President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Farhad Mohammed Osman, and the Head of the Electromechanical Engineering Department, Asst.Prof. Dr. Ghassan Abdul Hussein Bilal.

The visiting delegation toured the Electromechanical Engineering Department to inspect its laboratories and explore the scientific capabilities available in the field of aircraft and drones.

Dr. Bilal, the Head of the Electromechanical Department, stated that the visit aimed to open new horizons for joint scientific and research cooperation between the two parties, particularly in the field of drones, and to agree on a memorandum of understanding in this regard.

For his part, the President of the Military Studies University, Air Force Commander Dr. Aqil Mustafa Mahdi, said that this visit came in response to directives from the higher authorities in this field to open up to all Iraqi universities specializing in engineering and aviation. He added that they began with a visit to the University of Technology in order to open horizons for scientific and research cooperation to develop and serve the capabilities of the Iraqi army in the electronic and engineering aspects.
