
President of University of Technology Visits Sustainable Chemical Materials Store in College of Chemical Engineering
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Mohsin Nouri Hamza, inspected the sustainable chemical materials store belonging to the College of Chemical Engineering. The University President reviewed the storage system for chemical materials and the scientific and administrative efforts made by the store’s staff, as well as the staff of the college’s maintenance division, who contributed, through voluntary efforts, to the complete development of the store.
The University President also reviewed the progress made in the applications of chemical material storage mechanisms through the construction of a sensor system to control pollution in chemical stores. This system was implemented by Asst.Lect. Samah Faris Kamel from the College of Chemical Engineering in joint research collaboration with the College of Engineering at the Iraqi University to achieve sustainability requirements and environmental preservation in chemical stores and laboratories.
The visit was attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, and the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Farhad Muhammad Othman, who were received by the Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering, Professor Dr. Khalid Ajmi Sakar, the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, and a number of heads of departments and faculty members.
