
Production Engineering College Holds Workshop on the Importance of Electronic Financial Transactions
The College of Production Engineering and Minerals at the University of Technology held a workshop on promoting the culture of electronic payment systems in collaboration with the First Iraq Bank. The event took place in the late Professor Dr. Ibrahim Mansour Hall at the college.
The workshop began with a welcoming speech from the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Mohammed Al-Khafaji, who emphasized the importance of the workshop, especially within the context of the Golden Jubilee Week celebrations. He highlighted the crucial role of raising awareness and promoting the necessary culture for electronic payment services.
Following this, Prof. Dr. Atiyah Al-Zuhairi provided a brief overview of the workshop’s topics. The first session was then presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Ali Al-Rubaie, who detailed the significance of working within the framework of electronic payment systems, outlining the benefits and advantages that contribute to the development and growth of communities. He also discussed how such systems help control tax evasion, one of the key objectives of the government program.
The second axis, presented by Ms. Rua’a Muwaffaq Talib, Director of the College of Financial Inclusion, represented the First Bank of Iraq. She presented a presentation that reflected the policies of the government and the Central Bank on the necessity of education and raising awareness to ensure the success of this culture.
The workshop was met with a great deal of interaction from both faculty members and students, featuring a series of valuable comments from the Dean, some professors, and students. The workshop concluded with the presentation of a plaque of appreciation from the college to the speakers, and certificates of recognition were distributed.
