Technology University Participates in the Central Celebration of Quality Week

The University of Technology participated in the presence of the Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, Professor Dr. Zainab Nasser Jameel, and a group of university lecturers in the central celebration held by the National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology in the Ministry of Planning, in cooperation with the American University in Baghdad, the activities of the “Quality Celebration Week”, which came within the framework of promoting the culture of quality and innovation in government work and the private sector.

The aim of this week was to highlight the importance of improving performance and developing administrative and technical systems in line with the latest international standards in the field of quality.

The speech of the Ministry of Planning and the National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology was delivered by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Planning, Dr. Hana Ismail Ibrahim Al-Asadi, on behalf of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Tamim, in which she focused on the importance of celebrating Quality Day as it is the main pillar in developing society and advancing it in all fields and the pioneering role of the Ministry of Planning in promoting a culture of quality among society and referring to the role of the National Center in developing and enhancing the skills of workers in the public and private sectors and raising awareness and educating institutions in the field of international standards for administrative systems and building their capacities according to the latest standards for quality and the role of other formations of the Ministry, including the Central Organization for Standardization in granting certificates and quality marks and the Iraqi General Authority for Accreditation and its mission in providing the best services according to quality specifications.

The closing ceremony of the “World Quality Day Celebration Week” included many presentations on the latest trends in quality applications and their role in achieving sustainable development goals.

The celebration concluded with honoring distinguished individuals in the field of quality in the public and private sectors and distributing appreciation awards and certificates. The celebration was attended by a large number of relevant government agencies, companies, universities and civil society institutions.
